Located in Chislehurst, Kent, Kemnal Park Limited is a Private Cemetery and Memorial Gardens providing various Burial, Memorial options and Cremation services to the families in and around London and Kent.
Kemnal Park totals 55 acres of parkland in London’s greenbelt, and is developing its cemetery and memorial grounds in phases to meet local community and business needs. As part of the plan, after a successful completion of zone one, they have now commenced their development work in zone two. All the development work is being carried out in line with detailed approvals from the local authority. Management, designers and project consultants at Kemnal Park are conscious of protecting the unique wildlife and general habitat, and are taking every possible measure to ensure preservation of this unique area.
Although the grounds of Kemnal Park are a private development, there is a public footpath running through the woodlands providing public access. To ensure public safety, the contractors have sealed off the area under development from the current operating area of the park, and several safety signs indicating safe routes through the public footpaths have been installed.
Following a detailed survey report from woodland specialists, Kemnal Park has plans for planting trees and shrubs to replace the ones removed during the development project to allow the general woodland to flourish as it opens the area to both sunlight and rain. Being located in the greenbelt, planting projects at Kemnal Park will adhere to some strict criteria to comply with the areas natural preservation requirements.
Commenting on the development plans, Frank Meilack, Park Manager at Kemnal Park Cemetery and Memorial Gardens said, “Here at Kemnal Park we pride ourselves on not only taking care of people’s loved ones, but we are equally caring towards the local wildlife and all round general habitat”. “We will take every possible measure to protect the interests of the public as well as the environment”, he added.
The development works should be finished by the end of Autumn this year and there will be ongoing developments in the years to come. Plans of these further improvements to the local area can be obtained from Kemnal Park cemetery.
