Snow fell in Chislehurst on Saturday evening as a delightful ending to a unique Carol Service at Kemnal Park. The Chapel was full with people coming to remember loved ones at this special time of the year. The service was led by celebrant Nuala Geary, and started with a welcome and greeting from Park Manager Frank Meilack. Several friends of Kemnal Park read poems about Christmas and about remembering loved ones.
There was a wonderful variety of music throughout the evening with Ciaran Doidge performing and leading Carols, the St Patrick’s children’s choir closing the service with two Christmas songs and the Wellington Brass band playing outside as people streamed out of the doors for a warming cup of mulled wine and Hog roast.
This event was more popular than ever this year and we will ensure going forward that we can accommodate more people comfortably as the community at Kemnal Park grows.
Here is what the families said-
“What an amazing emotional evening up at Kemnal Park tonight!! Beautiful carol service to remember all our loved ones and put a star with a message to my dad and Dave’s on the tree . Absolutely perfect” – J. Whiting
